DEAD MATTER INFO |
---|
Is a sandbox zombie survival horror game set in a post-apocalyptic Alberta, Canada. Players must survive in a world filled with flesh-craving undead, hostile NPCs, and other players who are also struggling to survive. The game offers a variety of ways to stay alive, including managing necessities like food, water, shelter, safety, and transportation.
The main objective is to survive as long as possible in a hostile environment. Players can approach survival in multiple ways, whether by scavenging, building, fighting, or hiding. The game encourages a variety of “What if” scenarios, making each playthrough unique.
The game can be played in both singleplayer and multiplayer modes. In singleplayer, you can attempt to survive on your own without interference from other players. In multiplayer, you can connect to a server filled with other players, leading to more dynamic and unpredictable interactions.
Each playthrough is unique due to the game’s dynamic world simulation. The game starts on Day 1 each time, with time progressing naturally from there. The Pitbull AI system simulates 25,000 undead across the entire game world, allowing hordes to form and break apart naturally. Additionally, as more systems are developed, each play session will feel increasingly distinct.
The Pitbull AI system is responsible for simulating the behavior of the undead. It manages the movement and formation of hordes, contributing to the dynamic and unpredictable nature of the game. While Pitbull is not used for simulating human characters, it provides the foundation for more complex systems within the game.
