The best Dead Matter Update?

For the past few months, they’ve been working on many new features. Essentially, Johnny Guitar wants the game to resemble as closely as possible the project that originally captivated us all. This includes a very different and significant vehicle system within the game, a mission system, zombies that truly pose a threat, ultra-realistic weapons, and a base and camp system that meets expectations.

After spending countless hours and years following Johnny Guitar, all I can say is that he’s an incredibly perfectionistic guy. He likes to pay attention to every detail of the game, which sometimes isn’t a good thing, as it can result in spending a lot of time on details that only the most purist players will notice and appreciate. However, it’s true that the game is turning out to be very polished.

What is coming with the update 0.13?

They’ve incorporated and well-developed a trailer system, where you can now add any of these extensions to your vehicle for your base or camp. You can also have a mobile base with the new mobile home they’ve added, where you can store things, cook, and sleep. There are also gas and water containers, lights for your base surroundings, and trailers to transport other vehicles.

They’ve also revamped the character creation menu with new perks, new professions, and a new spawning system.

The recoil of the weapons has been improved, along with the weapons themselves, the item icons in the inventory, and the lighting.

They’ve added Canmore Hamlet and redesigned a very advanced medical system with new healing items, and others that previously had no specific function now do, such as tweezers for extracting a bullet or antiseptic cream for treating burns.

We’ll have different levels of injuries—some will be treated with bandages, others with tourniquets. There will be bone fractures that will prevent us from walking correctly, running, or even using two-handed weapons.

As for the infected, although they are still in development, they now use a new skeleton, with different models, and have been given a gore system.

These are just some of the many additions that will undoubtedly take the game to the next level. We’re eagerly waiting to start testing the multiplayer to see how all this affects the servers. Supposedly, all these changes have been made with multiplayer in mind, so soon we’ll see if it all has been worth it.
